Pure enjoyment in a renovated holiday residence in the centre of Ypres
Villa Ernest is situated right in the heart of the historic centre of Ypres. At the end of a medieval alley, you’ll enter the house through an authentic gate and be overwhelmed by the beauty and tranquillity of the location. This Ypres house will accommodate nine people. The original building was a shop with sewing workshop, where there was the sound of whirring sowing machines until the late twentieth century. It was stripped and subsequently renovated into a cosy, contemporary holiday residence. However, you may still find the occasional reminder of its industrious past.

Martine Maheux: "With our family we went on a guided tour with Francis which was a fantastic experience. Francis knows the local history by heart and brings this over in a fascinating way, so everybody can follow allong. A walk full of facts and anecdotes brought joy for young and old.
An oasis of greenery and peace in the heart of the historic town of Ypres, next to the St.Martins Cathedral and within walking distance of the market square. A beautifully renovated property with contemporary facilities. Brand new and very tidy.
Villa Ernest was an excellent place for our family holiday but is also ideal for a group of friends as very room has it’s own private sanitary. The kitchen is well equiped for cooking but can also function as an ‘open’ and central meeting place. In the winter time it’s all about cosiness as in the summer you can enjoy the private garden and terrace. A well hidden gem!”
